Hardy Ultraclick UCL Fly Reel

Being one of two reels that I will be guiding with this season – the Ultraclick is Hardy’s lightest reel and it truly feels like a feather in the hand. Even when spooled with line – it still is incredibly light. Designed with the euro nymph fisherman in mind – the line guard is fully enclosed so tangles are eliminated with fine and light lines. Personally, I won’t be using it for this application though as it is paired with Hardy’s Ulralight rod and it balances perfectly. Drag is click and paw and it is nice to hear the discussion it makes when line is peeled off when hooked up. Spool removal is achieved by grabbing hold of the center bars of the spool and popping the spool off. It then easily snaps back on. Again – an extremely light reel that pairs very nicely with the light euro rods as well as light weight trout rods.
